From their days playing together as teenagers to their current acoustic and electric blues, probably no one has more consistently led American music for the last fifty years than Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, the founders and continuing core members of Hot Tuna. The pair began playing together while growing up in the Washington D.C. area, and later moving to San Francisco they developed the definitive sound of the Jefferson Airplane as original band members in the 1960s. Crafting amazing renditions of classic early blues alongside their own compositions, Hot Tuna has thrilled audiences in both their electric and acoustic shows for more than forty years with Jorma’s fleet fingerpicking and Jack’s one of kind bass playing.

Hot Tuna will be bringing their acoustic showcase back to Portland for a show at The Aladdin Theater on Sunday, February 10th. Always a favorite of local audiences, expect this show to sell out quickly. Tickets can be purchased in advance through www.ticketfly.com and at The Aladdin Theater box office. A general admission show, tickets are $35 advance and day of show. Showtime is 8:00 pm. The Aladdin Theater is located at 3017 SE Milwaukie Avenue.
