Karen Lovely celebrates the release of her long-awaited new CD, Ten Miles Of Bad Road, with a special release party at Jimmy Mak’s, 221 NW 10th, on Saturday, September 26. Karen spent the past couple years piecing this recording together with many of the same group of friends who helped create her Blues Music Award nominated album Still The Rain, including ace producer Tony Braunagel and the late songwriter Alan Mirikitani. Recorded at California’s Ultrtone Studios, guests on the album features a session band of a dream-like cast of musicians such as guitarist Johnny Lee Schell, James “Hutch” Huthinson on bass, keyboard master Jimmy Pugh, and Tony Braunagel on drums.
