Robben Ford is one of the premier electric guitarists today, particularly known for his blues playing as well as his ability to be comfortable in a variety of musical contexts. A five-time Grammy nominee, he has played with artists as diverse as Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Witherspoon, Miles Davis, George Harrison, Phil Lesh, Bonnie Raitt, Claus Ogerman, Michael McDonald, Bob Dylan, John Mayall, Greg Allman, John Scofield and many others. Ford will be returning to Portland for a show at the Aladdin Theater on Tuesday, February 26th and will be celebrating the release of his latest album, Bringing It Back Home (the new album will be released on February 19th). With this new disc, Ford returns to his first musical love, the blues, with songs ranging from the early Delta masters to the more urban sounds of classic Stax soul.
