The Alabama Shakes At Edgefield: Aug. 7th

Formed in Athens, Alabama in 2009, the multi-genre band The Alabama Shakes are on a steady ride and quickly becoming one of the most popular American Roots acts working today. With influences that can range from bluesy grooves to garage rock to psychedelic jams, they incorporate a mix uniquely their own, led by the powerful vocals and guitar work of Brittany Howard. They’re currently on the road supporting their latest album, Sound & Color, and playing before raving audiences.

The Alabama Shakes will return to Portland on Friday, August 7, at McMenamin’s Edgefield, 2126 SW Halsey St, Troutdale, OR. Showtime is 6:30 pm, with gates opening at 5:00 pm. All ages are welcome. Tickets are $43.00 in advance or at the gate.
