Let’s Help Get Tevis Hodge Jr to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge

Tevis Hodge Jr. is the Cascade Blues Association’s winner of the Journey To Memphis in the solo/duo category and will be representing the organization and region in Memphis, TN at the International Blues Challenge this coming January 2014. Though he will receive a cash prize from the CBA to help offset some of his expenses traveling to Memphis, it is not inexpensive and he will need to raise more funds to ensure he makes it back.

The first fundraiser that Tevis Hodge Jr. will be holding to help him raise funds will take place at The Central Hotel (8606 N Lombard, easy access right off the St. Johns Bridge in the heart of downtown St. Johns) on Saturday, August 17^th. Show time is 7:00 pm with a $5.00 cover. This event is open for those 21 & over only. All moneys taken at the door for admission will be earmarked for the IBC trip.

Also, as part of this event, Tevis will be officially releasing his new CD, titled Blues And Rags. It is a 5-song EP. The CD has also been printed in a limited edition with a different cover than the official release. Only 100 copies of the limited edition were created and about 30 are still available. 100 % of the CD sales will also be put forward for Tevis’ traveling expenses to IBC.

The Central Hotel is an intimate pre-prohibition style restaurant and bar.   The warm tones and low lighting add to the intimate feel of the establishment.  The venue offers great signature pre-prohibition style cocktails and delicious food.   The music is performed up close and personal for all to view and enjoy.
